Have you ever been on holidays and you wanted to share the costs/expenses with your friends? Usually at the end of the holidays you were sitting with your friends, everyone with some bills and someone must compute who owes what to whom and how much.
With the powerful application “Share-a-bill” you can define individual events and group of people involved in each event. Enter each expense on the fly and define who paid for the expense and who has participated on that expense. If you are abroad you can define several currencies and their exchange rates. At the end of the event everybody knows exactly who owes what to whom. Finally you can email a detailed report from the event to your friends.

Pros and cons of Share-a-bill app for iPhone and iPad
Share-a-bill app good for
The only minor change Id like to see is the possibility of setting a coefficient for a person. For couples going in vacation with single persons, it would help the process not to have to set this coefficient for each expense. Still, it makes splitting the costs a breeze compared to excel. 5 stars!!!
Ive been trying for a long time to find a good application to split travel costs and none could satisfy my expectations as far as Share-a-bill. Congratulations to the developers! An excellent tool to facilitate the division of travel expenses!
Only one thing to improve, guys... when one member settles the debt, we need allocate this payment and give that debt as paid. I cannot find out this functionality.
Hier kommt genau DAS Programm, was ich in sovielen Urlauben mit Freunden vermisst habe. Endlich geht es gerecht zu, ohne mühsame Buchhaltung, zeitaufwändige Berechnungen und Streits.

I miss automated currency conversion and updates though, this feature would absolutely make it a killer app. Please also add optional tax/tip calculation, as seen in other apps.
This little program is everything that I need to share expenses with friends for all kinds of activities and trips. The fact that it also offers currency conversion is a great plus for us Canadians living near the US border. The email option is a wonderful bonus to an already complete program.
The interface is a little confusing and you sometimes have to tap too many times to do some of the things that could be done differently but after a few minutes of using it, it doesnt get too much in the way. Keep updating this little gem!
Ive used this for several years now. Whenever Im involved in an event such as a road trip with friends or a bachelorette weekend, I use it so we dont have to stress about payments every time something is bought. We just settle up at the end of the event. I even use it with my husband because we dont share a bank account! The only thing that would improve it--and I really hope they add this feature--is if there were a Note or Memo space where we could add a little extra info. This would be especially helpful for transfers, which have no other description than the date and the amount (e.g. was it cash? bank transfer? etc.).
Simple and straight forward. Very intuitive user interface. Ability to email resolutions to my friends is really awesome!
Some bad moments
This is the worst, most confusing program I have ever attempted to work with. While its only 99 cents, I may as well have stood on the corner and thrown the money into the street. I dont claim to be the brightest bulb in the lamp, but I do o.k.
I really consider this a four star app. Cant get you thru their website so I will assume check the reviews. Guys, you need to add the ability to enter mileage and I would give it five stars.
Great app before the update but now it doesnt even load up. Please fix.
This appwas difficult to use on a recent trip. Two couples tried to manage bills we both paid. I wound up using paper and a pencil.
Im having problems with resolutions. The expenses are correct but the final resolutions are wrong. Ive send multiple email to support with no response. Please correct or I will ask for money back.
Folks, dont buy it. Calculations are all wrong. Just came back from Europe, skiing with friends for 3 weeks. Can you understand my frustration when I discovered we owe each other different amounts? Shame the developer! Want my money back!
